We're still up at the hospital but i wanted to update real quick and just let everyone know that Kaiden's surgery went 'perfect', as his Dr. said. There was minimal bleeding, his heart started right back up nie and strong, the pressures all looked very good. Now its recovery time. Lets all pray that his recovery goes just as well as the surgery! I will continue to update with anymore information. Thank you to everyone again!

Well yesterday Kaiden had the cath. done. They were able to go in and measure pressures and get more information, but were not able to close the pda like that had hoped. In order for them to have done that, they needed to have the right size device and since every body is different, unfortunetly they didnt have one to fit Kaiden. They have decided to do it all surgically, this friday. This is not a set back by any means, it was actually sort of in the plans in the beginning, they were just hoping it could have been done through the cath instead. We're hoping that Kaiden will react wonderful to the surgery, and will recover quickly. Please keep him in your thoughts as he continues this journey. Thank you all & I will update as soon as I can on how it went.

Anthony and I had a nice surprise when we got up to the hospital today. Kaiden is finally able to wear outfits! Of course just ones that snap and dont have to go over his head, but now he looks even cuter! They also took an IV out of his left arm, and took the oxygen off. It seems like everyday he becomes a little stronger and shows hes a fighter!! Before we left this evening, he even started sucking on his fingers, it was so cute to see him do that and know he was soothing himself.
We had a talk with the doctor, and they are going to do a catherization(sp?) tomorrow morning at 9am. The plan is to go and check out his pressures in the heart and to close to valve that theyve been waiting on to close. If he adjusts to that well, hopefully that will be all he needs for now. If not, he would need to go into surgery. So please pray that everything goes well tomorrow, I know hes a fighter and im sure he will do just fine! But i will hopefully update tomorrow night, not sure though because its probably going to be a long day. Here are some pics that we took today, ENJOY! :)

When we got up to the hospital yesterday, we were told that they had taken out the lines in his belly button. We knew what that meant! That we could finally hold our little boy!!! I was so excited and couldnt wait, Ant was a little nervous with the wires that he still has connected to him but most of them are for monitoring. He now only has the feeding tube and oxygen in his nose, and an IV in each hand. But then he has different things attached to monitor his heart, blood pressure, and oxygen level. He has been doing wonderful. Today they're going to discuss what they think should be done next, so if i dont update tonight i'll update in the morning on all of that. Sorry i havent updated in a few days. By the time we get home in the evening, i am ready for bed! Kaiden has been doing awesome and adjusting to everything the dr's have been doing, he came off one of the heart meds last night and has been doing well with that. He had a slight fever the other evening but went away with a little tylenol and hasnt came back since. Anthony finally got to change his first diaper AND it was a poopy one!! :) He did a great job too!! I also had my share of a poopy one and almost got peed on! We just can't wait to bring our little boy home and be able to enjoy him even more!! Anyway, here are some recent pictures, ENJOY!!
