Kaiden had a visit with his nutritionist this morning. Previously the Dr's had him on a 24 calorie formula which is basically just mixing it differently, to give him more calories to help him gain weight. Well, his appt today showed he really isnt gaining much, not quick enough anyway. So the nutritionist upped the calories to 27. She said that if he isnt up to 7lbs by wednesday(his next appt at CHOP to have an Echo done fo the heart) that he will most likely be re-admitted and have the feeding tube put back in to help him gain the weight. We're hoping and praying that he starts eating more for us and gains the weight he needs to, We would hate to have to put him back in the hospital for a feeding tube :( We are keeping our fingers crossed that he does well over the next several days. Other than that he has been doing well. Anthony and I have had a few sleepless nights, with kaiden being very fussy but overall he's been well. he is still on the oxygen and maybe we might know something more of how long he may need to be on that after he gets his echo on wednesday. i would sure love to get back to work, and have him there with me..not sure how that would all work out with him on oxygen but we'll take it day by day. he sure has done alot this far, so who knows what hes got up his sleeve! :) Almost time to try to get him to take another bottle.... hope everyone is doing well....Maureen - give all my little lovies hugs for me, and hopefully we'll be in sometime to visit i miss you guys!!

Just a quick update..... kaiden was released from the hospital yesterday evening! We all had a great night, im sure getting up every 2 hours or less is going to get to me...but im feeling pretty good right now ;) Kaiden came home on 3 different meds and also on oxygen. The dr said he would do fine without the oxygen but would rather see him on it for atleast a month or two just so it can help with the therapy of healing the heart. Its definately better then ALL those wires he was hooked up to at the hospital. But id better get going and get Kaiden ready for his doctors appointment in Middletown, then we're off to see Dr Colemorgan, which i cannot wait for!! I'll be updating when i get a chance, thank you all of the continued prayers and thoughts....

Kaiden has been doing very well. He had moved to the "step down" room friday morning and they said hopefully by monday(today) he could be going home. Anthony and i came up here this morning, only to walk into his room and no Kaiden. The nurse right away asked if we were looking for Kaiden, and i said yes...apparently they had just moved him into another room because i think the other child in the room with Kaiden was sick...yeah real nice huh? but im glad they took Kaiden out of the room so hopefully he wont get sick. They were supposed to do an echo on his heart this morning to make sure everything still looked good, but they didnt get to him until about 12:00pm and we were told we should hear something by late afternoon. So still not sure if we're going to be taking him home tonight, we kind of thought that as long as the echo was fine that he could go home...but of course some things change and it may be tomorrow, who knows. Right now we're just hanging out waiting to hear back from the doctors. If we are able to take him home today, i will definately take pictures along the way :) and possibly put a post up this evening. If not sometime tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well...I miss you all there at TLK and cant wait for EVERYONE to meet our Special K :)
