Of course we've got some more pictures of our little guy :) He had his eyes opened more today, which may seem like a normal thing for a baby, but they like to keep him as calm and content down there as possible so he's under as little stress as possible...so here they are :) and the blanket was just over his head for a little comfort thing, but we took him down a nice blue hat :)
Baby Kaiden let mommy give him his binky :) the pictures are black and white because we didnt have the camera on us and my phone was set to black & white...Mommy & Daddy said goodnight to Kaiden, now its time for bed time! Goodnight xoxo
I've gotten together some pictures of our little boy. He seems to be doing pretty well, he is stable and the doctors seem to be "testing" him to see how his body will re-act to different things which will help them determine what kind of treatment he will need. so some of you are probably thinking "she wasnt supposed to have him until march 4th!"..heres what happened.
Anthony and i came up to CHOP on Thursday 26th for a prenatal visit and also to have an ECHO done just to make sure things were still about the same. First came the prenatal visit which is when they noticed my blood pressure was 150/105. The nurse took it a few different times but still was high. They then admitted me into the Special Delivery Unit to be monitored for atleast 24hrs. In the mean time they took some blood and urine. My blood platlettes were low and protein showed up in my urine along with the swelling in my legs ankles and feet. These were all signs of preclampsia mand the doctors talked as if we may be having Kaiden within the next day! Anthony and I were so shocked, a simple visit turned into the BIG DAY! They ended up deciding to take kaiden that evening and because of the situation, i was put under for the surgery so Anthony could not be in there with me but one of the nurses took pictures for us which we will have soon. Recovery for me was pretty rough the first night and most of the next day. This evening ive come off of a medicine which was making me feel like crap, so im feeling much better besides the discomfort in my belly when i move. Anthony has been keeping busy checking up on our little boy, and now that im able to move around i've been able to do the same. I will continue to update hopefully daily on how Kaiden is doing. Just last night, i had another dream about Kaiden and his birth.
I dont remember much about it, but what i do remember is very interesting. I was in a hospital with Anthony and family. I was called back by a nurse who took me to a bed which was in a a big room with other beds with a nurses desk in the middle. They somehow numbed my belly because i didnt feel anything. I was sitting sort of up, as they began to cut me open and out they pulled Kaiden. He looked plump and healthy.... the doctors placed him onto my belly and wiped him off. Most of the doctors left and the nurses continued cleaning him up, and told me that they would go get the family so they could take pictures. As i was waiting for them to come back, one of the nurses took a soft brush and fluffed Kaidens hair which made it look full and dry. :) i remember that i kept thinking about if he was okay and wondering why the doctors werent taking him right away or acting like anything was wrong. it was as if he was born perfectly healthy and there was no need to do anything but love on him :)
It was a very hopeful dream...yet i still havent forgotten the reality of everything. We're just hoping for the best of course! Thought i'd share that with you all. Today marks exactly 1 week until we meet our little boy! It's really starting to hit me now, im getting really nervous and seems like everything just keeps running through my head...all of the unknowns just scares me to death. We have an appt tomorrow at CHOP for a prenatal visit and another ECHO to make sure things are still pretty much the same, i will update tomorrow evening hopefully.
