Yep, that's right...i think my computer is completly broken! It turns on but the screen just goes black. I havent been able to update anything but im actually on the computer at CHOP right now...so i thought i'd update everyone..unfortunetly without pictures though :(
Kaiden has been growing SO much! He just had a visit to the pediatrician for a shot, and weighed almost 18lbs!! He was definately my "chunky monkey" that i wanted him to be for Halloween.Kaiden looked so cute in his costume :) We recently got his "school pictures" back so ill have them on me for anyone that wants one if i see you...if you want one just email me and ill make sure to save one! They were adorable, we plan on doing greeting card pictures for christmas, so be sure to keep an eye out in the mail in the weeks to come! Kaiden has been doing an awesome job rolling over. We're still working with him on sitting up/crawling. he has actually qualified for physical therapy which will come out to the daycare to work with him. That should be starting up in the next few weeks. Kaiden LOVES to be the center of attention! He'll make grunting noises to get you to look at him, and then will smile :) So rotten! Kaiden loves playing peekaboo and making funny noises!... Anthony and I are FINALLY getting a good nights sleep!! Kaiden started sleeping through the night about 2 weeks ago...i thought it was never going to happen!! ha ha
Im sure you're probably wondering why we're up here at the hospital. Kaiden's FINALLY geting his MRI of his spine done, to rule out tethered cord, and also getting his circ. done. Hopefully we will be out of here by lunchtime and home to rest. We were here at 5am this morning!!
Anthony and I have been doing great. Anthony has joined a bowling league on wednesday nights. He has always enjoyed bowling and has been pretty good at it, so im glad he's able to enjoy it more. And Kaiden and I get to have a night to ourself :) We are very close to getting into a new apartment. About double the size that we're in now, brand new, and a room just fot kaiden! Im so excited!! We're waiting on an Ok from the apt. manager and get paperwork filled out, but it looks like its a GO. If so, the projected move in date would be Dec 15th. The perfect birthday present for me and will be nice to spend our first xmas all together in our "new home" :) So we're keeping out fingers crossed that everything works out!

ok for some reason Blogger is messing up, i cant make my text a certain color..cant add pictures, i dont know whats up. But i wanted to update everyone on Kaiden's last appointment at CHOP. We saw his cardiologist last week, when he had his ECHO done. When the Dr came into the room, right away she said he looks great! and that hes such a miracle.. she then asked how he was doing and so on. After talking for a few minutes, and informing us that his ECHO looked great she said he no longer needs the heart medicine that hes been taking basically since birth! I couldnt believe it, I almost cried!! She also told us he may not need another surgery(to make the valve bigger) until he's in his 20's or 30's...possibly earlier but who knows! And she doesnt need to see him for another 6 months! Wow...and i used to dread not seeing this dr but now im SO excited to see her and show our little miracle off! We're still waiting on his appointment for the circ and MRI on his back..its taking FOREVER! But im so happy with his appointment i wanted to share it with everyone...and hopefully i can post some pics up soon! Hope everyones doing great!

Its felt like we havent been to Philly in the longest time! That is until now. We were recently up there to meet with the cardiac anesthesia team for Kaiden's MRI which is scheduled for next Friday. While talking with her, she also saw that he's scheduled for a CT scan in August for the brain bleed, just to check on that make sure nothings changed, and also saw that we're looking to get him circumsised in August. So she was nice enough to look into getting all of this done at one time. Meaning, during the MRI have them scan the spine(ruling out tethered cord) and also the brain scan, then wheel him into the operating room while still "out" and do the circ. This would be SO helpful for us and for kaiden also, beings that he would only need to be put under one time. So we're still waiting to hear back to see if it all will work out. Kaiden also has an appt in Sept for another ECHO. And today we took him to the pediatrician for his monthly weight check. His Dr seemed impressed with his weight gain, he was 11lbs 11 oz at his 4 months visit, and this month he was 12lbs 5oz and also grew about an inch. Still our little peanut but doing great :) We're also getting ready to try oatmeal and then barley cereal, then its off to the yummy veggies & fruits! I cant wait to see what kind of faces he gives us for those! :) Looks like nap time is almost over so id better get going, ill try to get some more pics on here soon for everyone!

Anthony & I took Kaiden down to Rehoboth to visit his grandparents and also to show Kaiden where his Mommy & Daddy got married ;) hehe. Kaiden finally got to put his feet in the sand/water for the first time! At first he held his feet up trying not to let them touch the water but eventually got them wet. He only fussed one time, and i think that the coldness of the water might have shocked him. We did get a picture of him standing in the sand....hes going to be out little beach bum! Yep, our redheaded, fair skinned, beach bum! :) Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Hey! you make me look pale! :)Ok, i just typed a whole thing on here about our Saturday and somehow got deleted! So a quick recap....we went to PA for the Moore Reunion/ 100th Anniversary of the Farm. We had a great time, and Kaiden did very well. Here are some pics!

Lots of new faces!Kaiden's morning started out a little rough. He was very mad about something, didnt want to be held, in the swing, fed, nothing. I took the advice that i hear from everyone, let them cry it out. I was a little nervous at first because i know he has a temper and sometimes gets to the point where i think he could pass out. I tried it anyway. I put him in his swing, wrapped him up like he usually likes and gave him the binky. Right away he started screaming. I went about doing things around the apartment and would put the binky back in his mouth if i walked by. Eventually he did calm down and was quiet for a little bit and even fell asleep for about a half an hour. After he woke up he was still a little cranky/sleepy. He was due for a bottle so i fed him, and within an hour or so he was asleep again. Since about 12, hes been much better. I was able to take a few pics when he was in a good mood :) I love having my friday's off of work, just wish Kaiden would enjoy them a little more!
Whats everyones plans for the 4th? Dont think we're doing much. Might see fireworks close, in smyrna(from the car haha). The weather is even supposed to be nice! Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Holding onto a link, with a little help ;)Kaiden had his 4 month visit with the pediatrician on Monday. She seems to be happy with his progress. He weighed 11lbs 11oz and was about 23 1/2 inches. Of course he had a few shots which he did very well with this time, he only cried when he got them but wasnt even fussy afterwards. I cant believe how big he's getting, even though compared to other babies hes a little peanut. Just looking back at his "school picture" with his class at the daycare, he looked so tiny then. They sure do grow up fast! :) I'll try and post some more recent pictures and i also have a video if i can figure out how to get it on here. maybe i'll try to get that on by tomorrow or so. Anthony celebrated his 1st fathers day this past sunday. We went down to my Dad's house and visited. My grandparents and Uncle, and 2 brothers and ones girlfriend were all there also. We all enjoyed spending the day together, which we dont get to do very often. They had their pool open and of course my brothers had to get in...if only it were warmer and Kaiden was a little older i would've loved to get him in there!! Maybe the end of the summer we'll try :)
Nothing new as far as Kaiden's updates, we;re still waiting to here back from the hospital on a date for his MRI. He has his 4 month check up on Monday morning plus more shots. No fun! But im anxious to hear what his Dr has to say about his progress. Hes been doing ALOT of smiling and has been cooing and getting louder with that too :) its so cute!! Everyone asks, how is he doing at night? I know all babies are different, some sleep through the night the 2nd month, some dont until theyre 8 months or older! But Kaiden has been doing pretty well even though he hasnt slept through a whole night yet. Usually his "last bottle of the day" is around 9:30pm or so. He's usually asleep right after that, and will sleep until about 2:30am, then wake up for a bottle and then again 4 hours later. Last night he actually slept from about 9:30-almost 4am! I kept waking up, waiting for him to start fussing, but he never did until close to 4..i was so surprised! His feedings in the middle of the night are also alot less than he eats during the day, which ive heard is good because thats showing they dont need as much to satisfy them and eventually wont need it at all in the middle of the night...which means MORE SLEEP!! :) Cant wait for that! So Kaiden is doing very well!
We're looking forward to camping this weekend, but only going to do one night this time and see how it goes! Hope everyones having a great week and enjoys their weekend!!

Well since the summer has started, ive gotten new hours at work. They offered everyone to work longer days and have a day off during the week. My day off is Friday, so thats Kaiden & Mommy time! :) Ive taken some pics from earlier and one from yesterday. Have a great weekend!!

The other day we were on our way home from work and Kaiden started really fussing, i knew he should be tired he had been up for awhile so i snuggled him up with his blanket and he fell right to sleep :) Wish it was always that easy...haha...anyway, enjoy the pics. His hair isnt really that curly, atleast not yet, he had just gotten a bath and i 
sound alseep ;) with his teddy bearKaiden has been doing great! Hes weighing almost 11lbs now, but still looks like a little peanut! :) We've switched his formula which seems to be helping with his little screaming fits he was having pretty often awhile ago. The dr's also think he may be a little colic too! He loves movement, bouncing, swinging, walking around...definately think hes a little bit colic but hopefully will grow out of it soon. We're seeing alot more smiles out of him now, hes becoming a much happier baby! At a recent appt, the Dr noticed two small dimples above Kaidens hiney. He said it could mean nothing, or it could be something called tethered cord...from my understanding everyone has a "cord" in their back. In healthy people, its very thin and not attached. But in a case of tethered cord, its very thick and attached which causes it to stretch and cause nerve damage if left untreated. We had an appt this afternoon at CHOP with the neurosurgeon about it. He said usually in these cases the dimples are further up on the back, and sometimes the children develop club feet and sometimes have problems with kidneys or bladder. Kaiden has had none of these isses this far thankfully but the Dr wants to have an MRI done to get a better picture, and then go from there. There is surgery to detach the cord, so we will just cross that bridge when we get to it, if thats even necessary. Other than that issue, Kaiden's heart as been doing great, each echo continues to show improvement!! His cardiologist is so impressed! Well id better get off of here and get something to eat while little man is sleeping! :) Hope everyone is doing great!!

Things have been very busy for us. This whole new parent thing is very exhausting and busy! :) But we love it!! Kaiden has been doing very well. We have had a few little incidents where we had to take him up to CHOP. Once was because of him not eating too well and each feeding he ate less and less....that was awhile ago, but we took him up and everything came back fine and he ended up eating a whole bottle before we left. The next time was just recently over the Mothers Day weekend. We went camping with Mom and Ken and he seemed to be doing Ok the first night and the next day. But then sautrday evening he was just SO fussy and kept having these fits where he would scream and scream and nothing would calm him down. It ended up that we left early Sunday morning to come home in hopes that being home would settle him down but we were wrong. It just got worse to the point where he was hardly sleeping. We called up to CHOP and they wanted to see him right away. They ended up admitting him around midnite Mothers Day night. They ran a bunch of tests, did an echo, xray and ultrasound. Everything was coming back fine and actually echo was showing his heart as improved over the past month. THe doctors and us also, were thinking it could be gas/colic. so they upped his zantac, almost doubled it and also started him on mylicon drops every 4hrs. He seemed to improve and wasnt quite as fussy. We came home tuesday afternoon and also switched his formula once to got home. Since then Kaiden almost seems like a whole different baby. He does have little fits here and there but if its colic, thats going to happen. Hes must easier to calm now and is sleeping and eating much better. Were not sure what exactly has helped him or whether it was everything combined, but we're just happy hes feeling better! here are a few recent pics of our little man, hes weighing about 10lbs 11oz, and has an appt with the pediatrician on tuesday(tomorrow) and appt at CHOP on thursday. Hope everyone has been doing well, and again sorry its been so long since ive updated :)

Well, this weekend will be Kaiden's first camping trip! No not in an actual tent haha, Mom and Ken have a camper so we sleep in there and are able to hang out inside if its a yucky day. Im pretty excited, just hoping Kaiden makes out good. We actually took him to the doctors this evening because the past few days hes been a little extra fussy at different times of the day. Hes also been sneezing out alot of yucky stuff and has had a little bit of a cough. The Dr said his one ear looked a tiny bit pink. I explained to her we were going away for the weekend and I wanted to get him checked out before we left and before he started feeling worse or got a temp. Luckily she gave us a prescription for an antibiotic, hoping this will help him.Kaiden also has an appointment at CHOP on wednesday 13th for an ECHO. We hope he cooperates and lets them do it this time so that he doesnt have to go again for a sedated ECHO, ill update after that appointment. Ive also got a few pics from when Kaiden went to Nana & Poppops house Sunday to give Daddy & Mommy a little break! :) Nana gave him his first big boy bath(in a regular tub)...turns out he loved it! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
PS. I also wanted to thank EVERYONE that contributed to our fundraiser for Kaiden. That meant to much to us! It was also so great to see everyone at Kaidens welcome home party the other weekend. He had a great time and was definately worn out that night! :) Thank you again to everyone!

Ahh, all clean! :) Thanks Nana!Kaiden had his 2 month appointment this morning and it went very well. He weighed 9lbs 6oz. I had the nurse check his oxygen level since he's only on the oxygen at night now, it was showing it was 100%...AWESOME! Of course he had to have a few shots which of course were no fun at all! He cried when she did it, but calmed down very quickly...that was until about 4 hours later he became VERY fussy. I went to check on him at about 2:15pm after my lunch break and he was screaming so much. We had given him Tylenol at 1:30pm to help with any pain, but apparently it either hadn't kicked in yet, or wasnt working. He wouldnt even drink his bottle :( I held him and rocked him for a few minutes before i had to go back into my room, he fell alseep thankfully. After he slept for awhile he woke up and drank a whole bottle. I gave him more medicine 4 hours later...the dr said i can give it to him every 4 hours for the first 24hrs to help with the pain, so im definately going to do that. I dont like seeing my little man in pain! So now Kaiden goes back in a month for another weight check then the month after that he goes back for his 4month visit and more shots! Fun stuff! Also next month he goes up to CHOP for another ECHO, this time not sedated so we;re hoping he tolerates getting it done and wont have to have another sedated one. Everything is looking very good for our special K :) I want to thank everyone that has been supportive of the situation..we seriously could not have been this strong without you all. I hope everyone has been able to visit with our little miracle at some point..if not let me know and we will definately get together!!! :) Hope everyone has been enjoying this warm weather!! I'll update with some new pictures soon....

Hi everyone! I have a few recent pics to put up. Kaiden has been doing great! He goes for his 2 month appointment Tuesday 28th and also gets some shots...yucky! Cant wait to see how much he weighs though! Has anyone else seen the weather for this weekend?! Almost into the ninetys, i couldnt believe it! Last weekend Anthony and I took Kaiden down to the beach and took a walk on the boardwalk and visited with Anthonys family down there...it was just a nice day and Kaiden seemed to really enjoy it, so much that he slept most of the time!! :) Hopefully we'll get out alot this weekend since its going to be so warm. I hope everyone has a great weekend, Ill be updating after Kaidens appointment on Tuesday if not before.

SO big!That's right, Kaiden finally has no more wires/tubes!
His ECHO yesterday showed his heart was looking good, the one side is still very large but we were told it may take a year or two for that to go down to normal size. They were also watching a part of the heart that looked a little funny, but seems to be staying the same size and isnt concerning to them. After Kaiden had the ECHO which they had to sedate him for, they took him off of the oxygen and we stayed for about 3 hours so that they could monitor his oxygen level to make sure it was where it needed to be without the oxygen. His numbers were excellent so mister Kaiden got to come home without oxygen! He does have it at night, but only for about another month...it definately is a big help not to have to carry that oxygen tank everywhere!! I didnt think he could get any cuter but he looks so darn cute without the tube on his face. We also met with the nutritionist, who was very impressed with Kaiden's weight gain, she dropped his calories form 27 to 24...she also is hoping that this will be a little easier on his stomach and he wont be as gassy/fussy. We'll see! :)
Kaiden also had his first day at daycare today! I was told he did very well, basically slept the whole time! ha ha so we'll see how his night goes tonight! It was so nice to have him right down the hall from me and be able to check up on him throughout the day. He's a big boy now, going to school! :) Here are just a few pics since he's had the oxygen off...there will be plenty more to come eventually...we plan on going to Rehoboth this weekend since its supposed to be so nice & will definately take some pics!
